Agree to return all communication from Auzzie Families, either by phone or email, within 24-48 hrs of receipt.
Contact Auzzie Families if you intend to be away from the home at any time and ensure that care and welfare responsibilities are in order for the student. Please provide as much notice as possible so alternate accommodation arrangements can be made if necessary.
Understand that Auzzie Families will manage the payment of homestay fees for ALL students for the whole duration of the stay. This includes when a student extends their stay after the initial booking period or continues to live in the homestay after their 18th Birthday. A service fee will apply and will be deducted from the student’s homestay fees prior to processing your host family payment. The service fee applies for the whole duration of a student’s stay. Please refer to your confirmation letter for the homestay rate you will receive for each student as it can vary depending on the learning institution and/or program the student is enrolled into. Homestay rates and service fees are subject to change without notice.
Not accept or agree to any offer of direct payment if approached directly by the student and/or their family and/or their educational agent. Auzzie Families will consider this action as a direct contravention of this agreement and de-registration may follow.
Notify Auzzie Families immediately of any unusual payments (e.g. delayed or overpayment/underpayment) made to your account. Any overpayment must be returned to Auzzie Families within 5 working days.
Understand that a minimum of 2 weeks written notice must be given to Auzzie Families by you or the student/agent to terminate the homestay contract. Either party will be entitled to a payment/refund of up to 2 weeks homestay fees if the full notice period is not adhered to. Students under the age of 18 must receive approval before leaving the homestay and official notice will be provided to both parties by Auzzie Families.
Understand that relocation fees will apply to move a student. The Host Family or the student will be responsible for the relocation costs. The party liable for the costs will be determined depending on the circumstances. Should you wish to ask student to leave, you will be responsible for the cost to relocate the student, regardless of the reason.
Understand that an annual re-registration fee applies if you wish to remain in our database. A relocation fee applies if you move to a new address and require a revisit before the annual visit is due.
Ensure that you notify Auzzie Families if there is any change in your family situation such as change in marital status, new baby, new pets, family members and/or friends moving in or out of the home, move to a new address, if you have new contact details or if there is a change in your banking details.
Understand that Auzzie Families will consider it unethical for the agent of a student registered with Auzzie Families to introduce new students to Host Families without referral through Auzzie Families. Please contact Auzzie Families if you are approached by an agent directly.
Inform Auzzie Families of any unsolicited direct requests from any Study Tour leaders, student agents and colleges or learning institutions.
Not charge the student any additional fee to live in the homestay or agree to any private financial arrangement with the student, student parents or student educational agent. The cost of homestay is set by the individual learning institution and rates are listed in the fees and conditions section of our website: www.auzziefamilies.com Rates can vary depending on the learning institution and the program that the student is enrolled in. The rate that you will receive for each student will be advised at the time of placement. Homestay hosts/carers should not charge more than this amount
